Project Overview

As part of my in-house role with Variety, I was responsible for delivering a wide range of design collateral for the organisation’s largest annual fundraising event, the Variety Bash.

The fast-paced nature of the event required quick turnarounds and a practical, solutions-focused approach to design. While each year’s theme varied, the work maintained alignment with Variety’s broader brand and communication goals. Outputs included social media graphics, signage, print publications, digital advertising and other event collateral, all designed to support fundraising, engagement, wayfinding and storytelling across a complex multi-day event.

Bold visuals and clear messaging helped generate energy and awareness ahead of the event across print and digital channels.

Event Collateral

These branded materials brought the event to life on the road, from merchandise, certificates, and fundraising stickers to portable signage and car door decals identifying each team.

The Bugle

The Bugle is a long-form print publication created to guide participants through the 10-day Variety Bash. Designed in collaboration with the marketing and motoring teams, it presents essential info (e.g. daily routes, fundraising stories, crew details, sponsor ads, etc.) in a clear, engaging format. The layout balances function and personality, helping entrants stay informed and connected on the road.
