Project Overview
Pekel is a student-led packaging design project centred on a fictional brand of gourmet pickled vegetables. Drawing on industry-standard requirements, I developed a full label suite across three product variants, integrating nutritional panels, ingredient lists, and origin labels to meet Australian packaging regulations. The final designs balance a premium, minimalist aesthetic with custom illustrations and carefully considered typography to convey the brand’s refined yet organic personality. Mockups were created from scratch in Photoshop to professionally present the concept.

Step 1
A custom scene was staged using real ingredients and jars, with paper guides applied at scale to assist accurate digital label placement.

A photograph of the scene was edited in Photoshop: cropped, colour-corrected, and retouched using the Spot Healing Brush and Patch Tool.

Label artwork was imported from Illustrator and adjusted to match the curvature and perspective of the jars, using the imitation labels as guides.

Final touches included the application of shadows, texture, foil effects, and layer masking to enhance realism.
